Dear Friends,
Thank you for the privilege of serving you in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Every day is a complete joy and I am blessed for the opportunity to be your voice.
For the past 8 years, I have worked hard to represent the concerns of families in north-central Minnesota. I have served as Vice Chair of Agriculture Policy and led the way to legalize industrial hemp so that farmers have access to another crop market. Industrial hemp has many uses including fuel, paper, textiles, and food.
I currently serve as Chair of the Subcommittee on Child Care Access and Affordability. I have traveled many parts of our state and heard countless stories from providers of how government is stifling their small businesses. By taking a deeper look into these issues, we put together common sense legislation to give relief to the child care profession. However, many of the aspects of the legislation were met with hostility by bureaucrats in St. Paul. Now with new reports of fraud in the child care assistance program (CCAP), it is important to have a conservative in office who will take fraud seriously. The integrity of public programs – funded by our tax dollars – is at stake.
Through this journey of being your State Representative, you have inspired me with your life stories. Together we are a team.
Our state and nation face many challenges in the years ahead. I am asking for your support and vote to continue to work on these important issues. In return, I pledge that I will never lose sight of why you sent me to the Capitol – to stand and speak out for all the people who call our district home.
The District 08B seat is your voice at the Capitol. I would be honored to continue to serve on your behalf.
Sincerely,
