I’m a working mom. I’m a public high school graduate. I’m a policy analyst. I’m a refugee. I’m an intergenerational organizer. I’m a coalition builder. I’m a graduate with student debt. I’m a public servant with over a decade of experience.
My Vision:
Establish Economic Justice for Working Families
We must build a democratic economy that works for all of us, not just the wealthy few. Workers should earn a living wage and have access to benefits.
Guarantee Access to Public Education
Education is a pathway to greater opportunity and economy security. We must guarantee access to pre-kindergarten, childcare, and invest in debt-free college.
Re-imagine Our Criminal Justice System
If we are going to dismantle systemic racism in our country, we must radically transform our approach to criminal justice and invest in restorative justice practices.
Ensure Environmental Justice & Energy Independence
We need bold action, and a transformation of our political and economic systems to combat climate change, centering those most impacted in our policy making.
Achieve Homes for All
Housing is a human right. Stable housing is essential to a healthy and secure life. Whether we rent or own our homes, everyone deserves access to a safe and stable place to live.
Build Resilient Infrastructure
We must revitalize our infrastructure to the 21st century to support the health of our people and our planet. The path to an equitable infrastructure system is public money going toward public good.
Create a Just Immigration System
Our immigration system is fundamentally unjust. Instead of treating immigrants as criminals, we must welcome them into our country and provide them with paths to citizenship.
Provide Healthcare Coverage for All
I will fight for a Medicare for All, single-payer healthcare system to guarantee quality healthcare for all Americans.
Promote Peace & Prosperity
We must end the state of continuous war, as these wars have made us less safe. We must scale back U.S. military activities, and reinvest our expansive military budget back into our communities.
Fight for LGBTQIA+ Rights
The LGBTQIA+ community’s struggle did not end with the legalization of same sex marriage. People in the queer community are disproportionately affected by the same issues we all experience.
Prevent Gun Violence
For too long, Congress has refused to pass comprehensive gun violence prevention legislation. We need solutions that keeps our kids and our communities safe.
Invest in Arts & Humanities
The challenges we face require creative solutions. n every neighborhood of the district you will find creative people working across sectors and making their communities more vibrant and welcoming.
Implement Clean Elections
Until we are able to run fair and clean elections, we will face barriers to the transformative change we seek.
